Linda has spent nearly a decade in public accounting working on everything from tax returns, reviews and compilations to bookkeeping, payrolls and sales & use taxes. She has worked with clients from various industries including construction, manufacturing, food/bar service, retail and more. Linda is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has taught client and community classes to improve QB efficiency and effectiveness. Linda is a member of the AICPA and the FICPA
Linda is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She served overseas during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield providing critical parts to support the air mission. We would like to celebrate all of our veterans so please let us know if you are a veteran too.
Linda has served as President for the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance 2016-2018. She was the Board Treasurer and CFO of Trinity River Mission in Dallas 2012-2014 and was a member of Women in Defense for 2017-2018. Linda’s husband David was Chair of Criminology & Criminal Justice at University of North Florida prior to purchasing Ocean 60 restaurant and martini bar in Atlantic Beach. Their son Robert hopes to one day be an engineer or CPA.
Gayle started her accounting career at Taylor & Bassford CPAs during high school. She has worked at various firms throughout the years in multiple states while accompanying her husband with the U.S. Navy.
In September 2018, Gayle started her own firm on the northside of Jacksonville. Her focus has primarily been on bookkeeping and tax preparation for Small Businesses in all forms, S Corporations, C Corporations, Partnerships and Non-Profits.
I served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 until 1991. I served in Sicily as the Command Master Chief’s assistant. After passing my E-4 exam for AZ-Aviation Maintenance Administration, I was transferred to AIMD in Kingsville, Texas. I was reassigned from there to an officer’s program in Corpus Christi, Texas. I then transferred to Brunswick, Maine where I was attached to VP-23. After meeting my husband in Maine, I chose to get out of the military. I was honorably discharged after serving my final 6 months at the reserve center in Wichita, Kansas.
Gayle was able to complete her undergraduate degree and Master of Accountancy from the University of Phoenix while relocating multiple times due to permanent changes of station with her husband.
Gayle holds an active CPA license in the state of Florida and is a member of the AICPA.
Gayle has gone on two different mission trips recently, one to Ecuador and the other to Uganda. She also volunteers to pack meals for Hunger Fight here in Jacksonville. She recently traveled to Park City, Utah for a million meal packing event during the Silicon Slopes Tech Summit.
Michelle has spent several years working in public accounting at Wegner CPAs, LLP in business services, providing outsourced accounting services, GAAP financial statements, and compilations. Clients with both local and international locations as well as software ranging from QuickBooks and Sage 50 to Bill.com and Intacct were serviced. More recently, Michelle has transitioned to auditing and interned at Dixon Hughes Goodman.
Michelle began working in accounting and with non-profits in 1995, starting out as a bookkeeper and working her way up to Finance Director and as a consultant. Responsibilities included financial statement and audit preparation, budgeting, grant reporting and compliance, IRS 990 preparation, and supervising staff. Multiple years as the Finance Director of non-profit organizations gives Michelle an uncommon perspective when performing auditing services for clients.
Michelle is a native of Wisconsin and holds a bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Spanish and is fluent. She is currently a CPA candidate and is finishing up a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting at the University of North Florida.
Michelle is serving as the Treasurer of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance Northeast Florida chapter and has also served as the Secretary. She also served as a Becker Ambassador and tutored accounting students at the University of North Florida.
Megan started her accounting career at Dufresne & Associates in November 2012 and spent four successful years working with governmental and non-profit organizations assisting them with their financial statement audits and filing required IRS Form 990 informational returns.
In April 2018, Megan joined James Knutzen & Associates as the Audit Manager to continue her focus on aiding non-profit organizations with all their financial reporting requirements, including those relating to federal and state grants and those specific to churches of all denominations.
In January 2019, Megan maintained her service to non-profit organizations by becoming the audit manager at the Forde Firm. She has become an expert in dealing with the specific obligations for private schools receiving scholarship funding from the State of Florida.
Megan is a Jacksonville native and holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida in political science and the University of North Florida in accounting. She also has a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Florida.
Megan holds an active CPA license in the state of Florida and is a member of both the FICPA and the AICPA. She also has earned a Not-For-Profit II Certificate from the AICPA.
Megan regularly volunteers with Feeding Northeast Florida in the Jacksonville area. She also has spent time tutoring and working with children through various organizations in Jacksonville.
Jaclyn joined the Forde Firm in January 2020 as an Auditor. Originally from NJ, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Stockton University in 2008. She then went on to receive a Mini MBA in Social Media Marketing from Rutgers University in 2014. Jaclyn became a Florida Notary Public in 2019.
