Linda has spent nearly a decade in public accounting working on everything from tax returns, reviews and compilations to bookkeeping, payrolls and sales & use taxes. She has worked with clients from various industries including construction, manufacturing, food/bar service, retail and more. Linda is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has taught client and community classes to improve QB efficiency and effectiveness. Linda is a member of the AICPA and the FICPA.
Linda is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She served overseas during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield providing critical parts to support the air mission. We would like to celebrate all of our veterans so please let us know if you are a veteran too.
Linda is currently the Treasurer for Fourth & Gold and PossAbilities Plus. In 2021, she will serve as the Vice Chair of the SBRN Accounting Network. Linda has served as President for the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance 2016-2018. She was the Board Treasurer and CFO of Trinity River Mission in Dallas 2012-2014 and was a member of Women in Defense for 2017-2018. Linda’s husband David was Chair of Criminology & Criminal Justice at University of North Florida prior to purchasing Ocean 60 restaurant and martini bar in Atlantic Beach. Their son Robert hopes to one day be an engineer or CPA.
Megan started her accounting career at Dufresne & Associates in November 2012 and spent four successful years working with governmental and non-profit organizations assisting them with their financial statement audits and filing required IRS Form 990 informational returns.
In April 2018, Megan joined James Knutzen & Associates as the Audit Manager to continue her focus on aiding non-profit organizations with all their financial reporting requirements, including those relating to federal and state grants and those specific to churches of all denominations.
In January 2019, Megan maintained her service to non-profit organizations by becoming the audit manager at the Forde Firm. She has become an expert in dealing with the specific obligations for private schools receiving scholarship funding from the State of Florida.
Megan is a Jacksonville native and holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida in political science and the University of North Florida in accounting. She also has a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Florida.
Megan holds an active CPA license in the state of Florida and is a member of both the FICPA and the AICPA. She also has earned a Not-For-Profit II Certificate from the AICPA.
Megan regularly volunteers with Feeding Northeast Florida in the Jacksonville area. She also has spent time tutoring and working with children through various organizations in Jacksonville.
Dr. David Forde has been working on taxes and audits with the Forde Firm since 2019.
Dr. David Forde was Chair of Criminology & Criminal Justice at University of North Florida prior to purchasing Ocean 60 restaurant and martini bar in Atlantic Beach. Dr. Forde has extensive experience in survey research design and analysis. For the past two decades, he has collected survey and evaluation data on social issues such as criminal victimization and trauma. He has been lead grant writing efforts for over $1 million in grants from federal funding agencies such as the National Institute of Justice. His substantive area publications appear in journals such as Justice Quarterly, Journal of Interpersonal Violence, and Violence and Victims. His interdisciplinary work has also led to numerous collaborative publications appearing in highly prestigious medical journals such as Archives of General Psychiatry, Journal of General Internal Medicine, and American Journal of Psychiatry.
Dr. David Forde holds a PHD in Sociology from the University of Alberta, and degrees from the University of Manitoba and the University of Victoria. He is currently studying to become an Enrolled Agent.
